What is Creative Portal?- Creative Portal is a safe, online platform for young people aged 13 to 17 to showcase their creative work, build portfolios, connect with peers, and take part in moderated online communities.

Is Creative Portal safe for my child?- Yes. Creative Portal is designed with safety at its core, following the UK GDPR and the Children’s Code. We apply high privacy settings, moderation, and strict content guidelines to protect all users. ❓ What age is Creative Portal for?- Young people must be 13 or older to register and use Creative Portal. Users under 13 are not permitted to access the platform in line with data protection law. Users aged 13–17 can access the platform independently, with additional protections in place. ❓ Does Creative Portal collect personal data?- We collect minimal data (such as username, email, and age) to create a secure account. We do not sell or share data, and users can request data deletion at any time. All data use complies with the UK GDPR. ❓ Can users message each other?- Yes, Creative Portal allows messaging between users to support collaboration and connection. Messaging is monitored for safety, and users can block or report any unwanted or inappropriate contact.
❓ What happens if someone breaks the rules?- We take safeguarding seriously. Content or behaviour that breaks our rules (e.g. bullying, hate speech, inappropriate contact) is flagged, reviewed, and removed. Depending on the severity, the user may be warned, suspended, or reported to appropriate authorities. ❓ Is there a way for my child to report concerns?- Yes! Users can report content, messages, or other users directly through the platform using built-in reporting tools. We also encourage them to talk to a trusted adult if they feel uncomfortable. ❓ Can I contact someone about safeguarding?- Yes. We provide resources and guidance to help parents support their child’s digital wellbeing. ❓ Does the platform work with schools or educators?- Yes! Creative Portal can be used in partnership with schools, colleges, and youth organisations. We align with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and offer teacher-friendly tools for class use.
