My name is Kara, I am 21 and I have just finished my fashion design degree at the University of Central Lancashire and my most important accomplishment is being able to complete my degree in a Pandemic. The situation enabled me to focus of my digital work becoming highly proficient at Photoshop and Illustrator. The course has helped me gain essential skills for the fashion industry and I can now say I am a confident and independent designer and I have enjoyed every minute of it! My final collection focused on Womenswear with a strong nostalgic influence, no doubt a subconscious escape route to 'rosier' days.

These are a selection of my portfolio pages from my final collection, Conceptual Womenswear Autumn/Winter 22. My project is called Fever Dreaming and is based around the 70’s hippie/bohemian aesthetic and how escapism was used to cope with everyday life.
