Hi! I'm Rachel. I'm currently doing my GCSEs and I aspire to study architecture one day. I'm always looking for future opportunities and ways to develop my CV and Portfolio. My inspirations are Zaha Hadid (particularly related to futuristic architecture), Vivienne Westwood, Vera Wang, Nikola Tesla and Frank Gehry.
I was apart of a finalist team for the 2021-2022 Design Ventura competition for the London Design Museum where we won the Commendation for Best presentation of our product.
I also attend singing training (University of West London Grade 6 Popular Vocals and Grade 3 Musical Theatre - distinctions in both), performing with ProVox Liverpool at Acoustic, Musical theatre and Band shows several times a year and I am open to any audition opportunities and performances for events. My vocal inspirations are Lady Gaga, Florence and the Machine, Amy McDonald and Amy Whinehouse.

EXperience
For the past few years, I have assisted a Royal Shakespeare Company designer in productions for the Shakespeare Schools Festival in Knowsley. My role included assisting the designer throughout the design process and making props, costumes, and sets. I also assisted with the get-in and get-out on the show nights and did hair and makeup for the shows as well as backstage dressing. Throughout the design and making process I learnt a lot about the necessary organisation and planning that is needed for performance design and working with different budgets. I gained experience of the expectations of a backstage assistant – quick costume changes, make-up, side of stage repairs and prop setting, which I feel has given me the ability to remain a calm under the pressure of performance.
I assisted in the renovation of chiropody clinic in St. Helens which has given me further experience of the practicalities of using a space as well as creating an aesthetically pleasing environment.
Singing
· I completed Grade 6 Popular Music Vocals on 1st May 2022, the University of West London Exam board with the mark 88% (a distinction).
· Throughout the covid pandemic initial lockdown, I completed the following ProVox Liverpool workshops: Song writing workshop by Erin Rowlands, Vocal Awareness series by Carrie Birmingham and Music Theory Series by Erin Rowlands.
· I perform in acoustic; band and musical theatre showcases through the vocal training company Pro-vox in Liverpool. Through this I have developed confidence and I feel very comfortable on and off-stage during performances and I have a knowledge of stage craft and the technical aspects of performance.
